Learn to dance with a partner the fun and easy way, all based on walking steps. Austin teaches at your pace, with helpful advice all the way, and has specialized since 2000 in working with beginners who want to learn good technique in a friendly setting.
Dances | Learn the first 10-15 patterns in any or all of the following at the beginning level:
- East Coast Swing
- Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Cumbia, Merengue
- Waltz, Foxtrot, American Style Tango, Country Western Two-Step, Viennese Waltz
Skills | Learn leading and following (partnering techniques), patterns and footwork, how not to step on your partner (tracking), finding and keeping the rhythm, knowing which dance goes with the music, safe and stylish underarm turns, dance positions (posture relative to one another), Cuban motion (that Latin hip motion that’s actually not all hips), and much more.
